An Improbable Peck of Plays, Vol. IV (August 7-23, 2015)
Theater Artists Olympia – in collaboration with the Northwest Playwrights Alliance – is proud to announce the 4th annual Improbable Peck of Plays!
This highly popular event is our yearly celebration of the local playwrights, directors, and actors that make the Olympia theater community vital.
Produced at The Midnight Sun in the heart
of downtown Olympia, Peck consists of eight short one-act plays that have been penned by local Northwest writers. Seven directors will be shaping these stories and twelve actors will be showing their chops by portraying a variety of roles. In past years, Peck has brought some of the funniest, most heartwarming and thought-provoking scripts produced in Olympia and we are honored to continue that tradition.
Staying true to form, this year’s line-up runs from the profound and poetic to the light-hearted and fun.
We get a peek into a secret society and visit a little league team, we will explore ancient myths and ponder contemporary art. Then there are the Vikings – that’s right, VIKINGS! And cherry soda! But certainly not Vikings drinking cherry soda, that would just be silly.
Peck promises a showcase of local talent in all spectrums!
