Theater Artists Olympia is remounting their cult-classic libidinous production of The HEAD! That Wouldn’t DIE!! A homegrown bit of toe tapping horror.
HEAD! is inspired by the infamously bad B movie from 1964, The Brain That Wouldn’t Die (famously lampooned by the MST3K guys, notorious for recognizing the truly awful), The TAO Collective has taken the original concept as a starting point. Gleefully hacking away the old and tired and suturing to it hot fresh plot lines, TAO has created loads of laughs, 12 awesome all original songs, and turned this live production into something surprising and new.
Bill and Jan seem like the perfect couple, their future is bright. He is a handsome surgeon and she is the beautiful RN that loves him. Then one beautiful spring day, tragedy strikes. Afterwards, Jan uncovers dark secrets that Bill has closeted away at “Summer House” for so long. And poor Jan…she's not left with a leg to stand on. While Bill goes on a provocative quest to help his beloved Jan, she finds her mind expanded in ways never expected in the company of Bill’s previous experiments.
