An Improbable Peck of Plays
Olympia’s Annual One-Act Showcase
TURNS 5 THIS AUGUST!
This year will mark the fifth annual incarnation of “An Improbable Peck of Plays” and to mark the occasion we’d like to something special. This is an official open call to all local playwrights interested in submitting: we would love to curate a collection of shows specially written to commemorate our half-decade mark, but with an added twist to keep it fun: the number five must play some prominent role in the script.
Take that idea for what you will. Let your imagination run with it and see what sort of odd and fantastic creations you can bring to life with that thought in mind. We can’t wait to see your talents at work and to begin shaping the next celebration of Olympia’s own special brand of theatrical gifts.
TO SUBMIT SCRIPTS AND/OR DIRECTOR REQUESTS, PLEASE FILL OUT THE FOLLOWING FORM or send an email to email@example.com
Director and Play submissions for IPoP5 will be accepted through May 15, 2016
Selected participants will be notified by June 1, 2016.

THE ELIZABETHAN POETS
To our fans and returning audience, and to any newcomers because it’s never too late, Theater Artists Olympia has a treat planned for our next installment of Words, Words, Words.
This aural celebration is one we have been preparing for some months now and are finally ready to bring to you: Words Words Words: The Elizabethan Poets. Some of the most sonorous verse ever composed in the English language, from poets such as Sir Edmund Spenser, Christopher Marlowe and of course The Bard himself. These are words that have been stirring love and passion for centuries, and continue to do so due to the profound resonance the poets felt with the human heart and soul. Please join us to Enjoy the Words at The Midnight sun on May 27 & 28 at 7:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

From the people who wrote The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) comes an irreverent roller-coaster ride through “the greatest story ever accepted as fact.” The Bible, in its entirety, is condensed into 90 hilarious minutes. From fig leaves to final judgement, this breakneck comedy makes the good book better. Join us as we put the *fun* in fundamentalism!
