Rehearsals are well underway for our upcoming production of On The Verge (-or The Geography of Learning) by Eric Overmyer, directed by Theater Artists Olympia’s own Artistic Director pug Bujeaud.
The year is 1888. Fanny, Mary, and Alexandra -three intrepid Victorian explorers – venture out on their own and alone into Terra Incognita. The “sister sojourners” are prepared for whatever adventures fortune sends them.
Starring in our anticipated Season 2016 opener are some of Olympia’s best: Maggie Ferguson-Wagstaffe, a regular on the Harlequin stage, joins us for her second TAO production after having directed TAO’s huge summer success Tartuffe last June 2015. Heather R. Christopher, founder and active member of the TAO Collective, was last seen at the Sun as the sexy and strong Cassandra in TAO’s original musical The HEAD! That Wouldn’t DIE!! (also directed by Bujeaud). Traveling down from the Tacoma theater scene, Dana Galagan returns to TAO, having last worked with us as Joe Cabot in Season 2013’s production of Reservoir Dogs. And lastly, rounding out this stellar cast is stand up comedian, actor, artist and man-about-town, Morgan Picton, who will be portraying all of the folk (both human and non-) encountered on the journey.
More behind the scenes to come!
